Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Klein Interior Design, LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("Klein Interior," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you visit www.klein-interiors.com (the "Site"), follow our links, or contact us. We keep things simple: we collect very little, and we never sell your personal information.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. If you email us, fill out a contact form, or sign up for our email newsletter (if and when we offer one), we collect what you choose to share, such as your name, email address, and your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.
Analytics. We use, or may use, Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the Site is used in aggregate (for example, which pages are popular). Cloudflare Web Analytics is designed to be privacy-first: it does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build profiles of individual visitors. If we ever add a different analytics tool, we will update this policy.
Information from affiliate partners. Affiliate programs may share reports with us showing that a purchase was made through our links (for example, the product and commission amount). These reports generally do not identify you personally to us.
2. Cookies and affiliate tracking
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser.
- Our own site. We don't set advertising or tracking cookies of our own.
- Affiliate links. Some links on our Site are affiliate links. We participate, or may participate, in affiliate programs such as Amazon Associates and Impact (which represents retailers such as Target), and other networks. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer or network may set a cookie or use a similar identifier on its own site to record that you came from us, so it can pay us a commission if you buy something. These cookies are controlled by those companies, and their privacy policies apply. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
- Social media and embedded content. If we link to or embed content from Pinterest, Instagram, or other services, those services may collect information or set cookies when you interact with them.
- Your choices. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and many browsers offer tracking-protection features. The Site will still work, though retailers may not be able to credit us for purchases.
We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, because there is no common industry standard for them. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, to the extent those terms apply to us.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- run, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- understand which content is helpful, in aggregate;
- respond to your messages;
- send our newsletter, if you have signed up (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email);
- receive affiliate commissions; and
- comply with the law and protect our rights.
4. How we share information
We don't sell your personal information for money, and we don't rent or trade email lists. We share information only:
- With service providers that help us run the Site and our business, such as our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare), our email provider, and, if we offer a newsletter, our email marketing service. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Through affiliate links, as described above, when you choose to click them.
- For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Klein Interior, our visitors, or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
5. Third-party links
Our Site links to retailers, social media platforms, and other websites that we don't control. When you leave our Site, the other site's privacy policy and terms apply. Please review them before sharing information with those sites. Your purchases are handled entirely by the retailer; we never see your payment details.
6. Children's privacy
Our Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your US state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws in states such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and others. Some of these laws may not apply to a small business like ours, but we want to honor the spirit of them for everyone.
Your rights may include the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it;
- access a copy of your personal information;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete your personal information;
- opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or its use for targeted advertising; and
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
No sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information as that term is traditionally understood. Under some state laws, "sale" and "sharing" are defined broadly and could include cookies placed by third parties, such as affiliate partners, when you click a link. You can limit this by blocking third-party cookies in your browser or using a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor. You can also email us to make an opt-out request.
Categories of information (California notice). In the past 12 months, we may have collected: identifiers (such as name, email address, IP address); internet or network activity (such as pages viewed and referring site); and any information you choose to include in a message to us. Sources are you, your browser or device, and our service providers. Purposes are described in Section 3, and recipients in Section 4. We do not collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.
How to make a request. Email by.klein.interiors@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response and asking us to reconsider.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. For example, we keep emails for as long as needed to respond and maintain reasonable records, and we keep newsletter subscriber details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Technical logs held by our hosting provider are retained according to that provider's practices.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Site and the security features of our service providers. No website or online service is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll make that clear on the Site.
